DURANGO 2070 01:23
There's a CIA spook, there's a big ol' FALSE FLAG. There's a denial of the truth: When power is threatened, life is trash.
2.
OBVIOUS TRAP 01:23
Just because it's been done before doesn't mean it can't be done again. Maybe it still has significance! Maybe people can't remember when. Some old shit about "kids these days"... why don't you go fucking hang yourself? Let someone else experience for themselves, without your fucking commentary. Time has left you confused, confused and salty. And when someone points out the truth, you want to assault me! Well that's fine by me, please take a swing. I can't wait to meet you in a "self defense situation".

KNIFE SCHOOL 01:41
I like to imagine a better world. I believe in a better world, I mean, who doesn’t? I do my part every day. All you can really do is take it one day a time. One time on the internet, I read about a weird guy who lived in the woods. Don’t ask me why, but he had it out for universities and airlines. What a weirdo. I’m pretty sure he’s in jail now, but before that he wrote down a lot of words about his feelings. He had a lot of big thoughts. Thoughts too big! The big thoughts were getting in the way. They were real bad thoughts. One time he thought, "The Industrial Revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race." Whatever that means.

FUTURE SONG 02:11
I've seen the future, now I'm going home. It's boring. Leave me alone. All these people want to get in your pants. All these people want to get in your head.

How close does it have to be before it's made real? And how real does it have to be before you react? And what reaction is enough to take back they what stole? Will you take it? Will you steal? Will you kill to live? Will you kill to live? No water for you. No water for your family too. Put a flame to the tap, eat shit, blend it up and drink that. Will take it? Will you steal? Will you kill to live? Desperation training.

Where does it go? Down the memory hole. Blah blah blah, doomed to repeat. Someone is coming for your children. If you don't like it, what are you gonna do? Kill him? NAMBLA types argue for equal rights, and we vowed to smash oppression wherever it lies. Something is coming, can you feel it? If you don't like it, then you're the bigot. In 1975, Steven Tyler got custody of a fourteen year old girl so he could fuck her at his house in Boston, and that guy has got four Grammys! Age is just a number. I'm reserving my right to love whoever I want.

about

"... the pace is manic, and the keyboards add a weird atmosphere as the lyrics hit head one in a Jello Biafra fashion whereas Future Song builds with some serrated guitars, cymbal driven beat before exploding with an aggressive vocal, garage rock keyboard and reminded me of what the B-52s would sound like if recorded by Black Flag!"

- Punk Online

"If there’s one thing I want from my punk rock these days, it’s intensity. Loud, fast, unforgiving. No bullshit. I want rumbling bass and sloppy power chords and spit-soaked vocals. These are the things that endeared me to punk as a kid, and though my musical tastes have since blossomed, I still find myself craving that noisy, belligerent energy. Luckily, the new EP Slave Task by NY’s Matt Hall has just the fix I was chasing.

Slave Task sounds like it was recorded live at a DIY house show—I can practically hear the sea of sweaty kids roiling in front of the band. The guitar thrashes fast power chords through a dirty overdrive. The drums smash out cut beats at hectic tempos, working the crash cymbals to the point of cracking. The bass squeals through a fuzz on par with radio static, the gain cranked so not a cent of amp noise is lost. The wavering keys sew in a creepy atmosphere as they tip back and forth between melody and noise. "
